Preschool Staff






Debi Vigilant

Debi Vigilant  is in her third year at CELP as the director and lead teacher. Debi has her Director II EEC certification and her MS in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College. She has worked in the field of early childhood education in one capacity or another for over twenty-five years. You'll often find Debi with a camera in her hands taking pictures of the children as they go about their busy days. The children love to see pictures of themselves in the monthly newsletters! Debi enjoys reading, playing with her pups, and traveling to visit her family in New York and California.


Maureen Rayne

Maureen Rayne  is in her third year as lead teacher at CELP. Maureen has her EEC teacher certification and is working toward her BA in Education. She has been working with preschoolers for over six years and enjoys working with preschoolers in all areas of the classroom. She especially enjoys designing developmentally appropriate art projects for the children.  Maureen loves to travel and enjoys spending time in Maine and Florida with her family. Being the youngest of seven and the only girl, she has the innate patience required to keep a busy classroom of preschoolers running smoothly. Maureen also loves to read and listen to music.

Marie Silva

Marie Silva  is in her fourth year as a late afternoon, lead teacher at CELP.  Marie has her lead teacher EEC certification.  She also has her BA in elementary education and works as a special needs paraprofessional with the Chelmsford Public School.  You'll often find Marie reading with the children on our comfy couch or helping them get ready to head outside to play. Marie enjoys spending time with friends and traveling to visit her family in New Jersey and Alaska.


Pam Mead

Pam Mead  has her EEC preschool teacher certification and has been with CELP for three years. Pam has worked with young children for over twenty-five years in one capacity or another. She has been a Red Cross swim instructor and swimming coach, a home childcare provider when her own four children were young, and for the last several years has been an assistant teacher for preschoolers. She loves to hike, do crafts, and watch her son Craig play hockey. She enjoys reading with the children, helping them do puzzles, playing games with them, and helping them to learn those all important self-help skills!
