Staff Karen Tang School-Age Director I began working at Carlisle Kids’ House in 2004 and have loved working with the children and families in Carlisle. Previously, I was a Middle School English and Math Teacher in Lawrence, MA. I earned a Bachelor Degree in Middle School Education, a Bachelors Degree in Developmental Psychology, and received Advanced Provisional Standing in Elementary Education from Fitchburg State College in 2001. I am married and the mother of two young daughters. My family and I reside in Chelmsford MA. Some of my favorite things to do outside of CKH include: spending time with my family and friends, camping, skiing, and cooking, and working with the Open Pantry of Lowell. Jayne Munn Coordinator I began working at Carlisle Kids’ House in 1989, and have enjoyed being a part of the vast transformations of Carlisle Kids’ House over the past years. I am married and have two grown sons and three grandchildren. My husband and I reside in Westford. Some of my interests include motorcycling, vacationing in Maine, crafts and spending time with my grandchildren. Jocelyn Proia Coordinator I began working at Carlisle Kids’ House in 1999. I attended Merrimack College for 1½ years majoring in Special Education/Early Childhood Education. My prior experience with children was in a pre-school day care. I am married and have two young sons named Jonathan and Joseph. I reside in Chelmsford with my family. Outside of CKH, I enjoy doing crafts and cooking with my children. I am looking forward to expanding my horizons in science, music and outdoor activities. Matthew Shwom Coordinator I’ve been working at Carlisle Kids’ House since 2005. Previously, I worked at 4-H Camp Middlesex as a counselor. I am majoring in Political Science at U-Mass Lowell, where I am also on the Rugby team. I love anything that has to do with the outdoors including; Rugby, Lacrosse and Kayaking and hiking. I hope to help to continue to curate an exciting after school program at CKH. Robin Larkham K/1 Coordinator I’ve been working at Carlisle Kids’ House since 2006, and have loved the experience thus far. Previous to coming to CKH I obtained my Medical Assistant Certificate and worked as a preschool teacher at next generations in Westford. I am the mother of 3 grown daughters and a teenage son, and the grandmother of a beautiful little girl. I enjoy spending time with my family, motorcycling and spending time outdoors. Maureen Picarriello Coordinator I have been working at Carlisle Kids’ House, and have truly loved getting to know the children and families of Carlisle. Along with working at CKH, I am also a preschool teacher in Billerica. I am married and the mom of a teenage son and daughter. My family and I reside in Tewksbury. I am currently pursuing my bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education at Salem State. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and doing arts and crafts. Miranda Fortenberry Teacher I have been working at Carlisle Kids’ House since 2006, and love working with the children. I am currently pursuing a degree in English at U-Mass Lowell. When not at work, I enjoy babysitting, camping, kayaking and spending time with friends and family in the outdoors. Staff Notes: Before being hired, all of our staff are CORIED and SORIED (state criminal investigation tools used to check the background and criminal records of applicants). No one is hired until the CORI/SORI comes back from the state, attesting that the applicant is free from charges and investigations relating to the safety and well being of children. Within three months of being hired, all of our staff are adult and pediatric certified in CPR and First Aid by an American Red Cross Trainer. We are re-certified in CPR on a yearly basis, and First Aid on a bi-yearly basis. |
